Worldcoin Open Interest Jumps Past $400M Despite Recent Price Dip

Worldcoin may have taken a step back this week, but traders are still keeping a close eye on the token. The cryptocurrency, which powers the Worldcoin digital identity project co-founded by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, has attracted growing attention from both investors and regulators. Even after a recent dip, several indicators suggest the rally might not be over just yet.

WLD fell more than 3% over the last 24 hours and was trading around $0.50 on Tuesday. That decline might look concerning at first glance, but the token is still holding above several key support levels that have helped keep its recent recovery intact.

Fresh money flows in

One reason investors remain optimistic is the growing activity in the futures market. According to CoinGlass, Worldcoin’s Open Interest has climbed to roughly $406.9 million, up from $377.3 million just a few days ago. Why does that matter? Rising Open Interest usually means fresh money is entering the market, showing that more traders are willing to take positions rather than sit on the sidelines.

Sentiment is improving in other areas as well. The long-to-short ratio has edged back above 1.0, meaning bullish bets now slightly outnumber bearish ones. The difference isn’t huge, but it does show that traders are leaning a bit more toward higher prices than lower ones.

Of course, it’s not all positive news. Data from CryptoQuant points to growing retail participation across both spot and futures markets. That can sometimes lead to sharper price swings as more short-term traders jump in. The platform also noted signs of selling pressure, suggesting some investors may be cashing out after recent gains.

Key levels ahead

From a chart perspective, Worldcoin continues to look relatively stable. The token remains above support near $0.504 and is still trading above several major moving averages. Momentum indicators also remain in positive territory, showing that buyers haven’t completely lost control.

So what’s next? If buyers step back in, WLD could target resistance levels around $0.567 and later $0.676. On the downside, a drop below support near $0.459 could open the door to a deeper pullback toward the mid-$0.30 range.
