Marketing assistant - Position Covered

Working Hours: 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm

Employment: Temporary (maternity cover)

Key Languages: English (additional languages are welcome)

Position reports to: Marketing Manager

Based at: Head office - Vauxhall

Flexibility: There are a number of events over the course of the year which you will assist. You may be required to work weekends when the company has events (indoors & outdoors) and extra hours will be compensated with week days off or paid depending on employee’s requests and company possibility.

Key responsibilities:

General:

  • Support internal and external communications with day to day campaigns;
  • Updating the intranet (branches) with new content, reporting on marketing campaigns and projects and assisting in the organisation of events;
  • Develop a customer segmented messaging and emailing framework;
  • Upload information to the SMS and Emailing system;
  • Create multiple formats including presentations, scripts, user guides, and internal communications to channels, factsheets and any other format required;
  • Assist with research for PR and publications and collating content for internal newsletters;
  • Market research for ethnic media and events;
  • Deputise for Events Logistics when required;
  • Assist in all tasks regarding events, promotions or launches;
  • Ensure the Marketing office and Storage remains de-cluttered and tidy;

Support in branches:

  • Coordinate Branch Branding and Co-Branding;
  • Manage marketing budget;
  • Weekly visit to branches, ensure that all marketing exhibit in the branch is correct and updated;
  • Identify insights to develop new markets in key areas, according to the branch manager’s guidelines;
  • Coordinate with supplier the re-brand of all branches;
  • Coordinate with HR department any relevant and effective motivational programs for branches;
  • Prepare documents, statistics and market research for each branch;
  • Research media in local areas and manage specific contented focused on the branch’s needs;
  • Supports the branch manager and branch team on national marketing driven campaigns, content and social plans as needed;
  • Branch visits, parcels, launches and promotions;
  • Prepare a weekly benchmark to keep track of promotions and best practice from other companies.

Skills and experience required:

  • Knowledge of digital marketing;
  • Outgoing and open to working in a multicultural environment;
  • Positive attitude, proactive and dynamic;
  • Have excellent communication, both written and verbal;
  • Knowledge of the Filipino and/or Eastern European market;
  • Good organisation skills, including the ability to co-ordinate actions with other team colleagues;
  • Ability to adapt to changing environment and work methods;
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in a multinational company.
