Agent Accounts Controller - Position Covered

Job purpose summary: To work as part of a team, deliver professional customer service, coordinate with all departments in ensuring payments made by agents are process through our system/ platform in a timely manner.

Job type: Part time - Temporary

Hours: 20 Hours per week; Mon to Fri and Alt Sat Flexible Basis, temporary position

Location: Vauxhall, London

Position reports to Europe Credit Manager

Key responsibilities:

  • Check statements from the principal accounts, Agent and SWA agent’s payments by cheque, update control sheet and block deposits where necessary
  • Update spreadsheet (PDQ) of payments of debit card and request application for each agent.
  • Identify payment on the bank account and request application to agent statement.
  • Reverse payments with wrong rep code.
  • Confirm applications on agent statement.
  • Request payments delay and support agent by phone.
  • Block deposits when requested for a refund or paid by cheque.
  • Copy payments from the account to Google Drive.
  • Identify deposit by the sequences of paying books number.
  • Request for Saldos all payments every 30 min.
  • Revise the statement next day to confirm payments without reference whether is applied on the platform, PI accounts.
  • Request reverses by an account with management authorisation.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Fluent in written and spoken Urdu and/or Spanish, and English.
  • Minimum education of A level with minimum A or B in Maths
  • 1+ year of Credit control experience in the money transfer or financial industry
  • Previous experience in working with the European corridor.
  • Good in numeracy and well-versed with the accounting practices.
  • Confident of using Microsoft Excel at a minimum of intermediate level.
  • Work on own initiative and under pressure.
  • Good organisation skills, ability in the workplace and outside the organisation and willingness to drive into the complex details of a transaction or process.
  • Have an excellent communication and negotiation skill, both written and verbal.
