HR Officer - London Head Office - Covered Position

Purpose of role: Provide effective HR service to all UK employees based throughout the UK.

Job Type: Full time – Permanent with the 6 months aprobation period

Hours: 40 per week; Mon to Fri 09.00 to 17.00

Location: London head office

Role details:

  • Act as first point of contact for all UK HR related queries
  • Provide HR advice and support to line managers, coordinators and employees on all HR related matters (recruitment, disciplinary, grievance, payroll, maternity etc)
  • Act as super user for UK HR systems
  • Monthly Payroll input of all HR matters in a timely manner and liaison with Payroll manager to ensure payroll is managed on a timely basis.
  • Management of Auto-enrolment Pension process.
  • Management of ER matters including meeting organisation, minute taking and ensuring processes are brought to a conclusion
  • Monitor absence records and raise alerts where necessary
  • Oversee recruitment and selection including applicant management, interview arrangements  and participation in interview selection process
  • Preparation of HR documentation to support all matters in the HR lifecycle
  • Monitoring of visa checks and work permits
  • Maintain an accurate HR filing system for all employees electronic and paper-based files.
  • Contribute to other ad hoc HR projects

Person Specification

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • At least two year’s work experience in HR covering all aspects of resourcing, general HR roles, ER issues
  • Proven experience of handling confidential information and data
  • Experience of dealing with people at all levels
  • Relevant HR qualifications e.g. CIPD qualified or Degree in HRM  (or studying towards) would be beneficial

Ability and skills/strong>

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • String command of the English Language
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work alone, prioritise
  • Ability to manage day to day activities with project works
  • Proven administration, multi-tasking and prioritizing skill
  • IT literacy in Microsoft Office or equivalent
  • Able to work under pressure
