Branch Floater - Position Covered

Job purpose summary: As a Floater, you required to work as a part of the team, have professional customer service experience, understanding the process of money transfer industry to the different countries and support your team and customers on a daily basis. Experience in processing orders for the African corridor would be an essential for this role.

The job holder will be responsible for covering the shift in the absence of the other branch cashier and for that he or she required to travel on a daily basis to our London branches as directed by the Branch Manager or Branch Coordinator.

A fixed monthly travel allowance will also be provided towards the cost of travelling between branches.

Hours: 40 Hours per week – Monday to Sunday on a flexible basis; with the six months’ probation period

Position reports to: UK Branch Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all customers are served in a competent, efficient, friendly and professional manner.
  • Provide information to customers regarding available promotions, policies and procedures related to transactions.
  • Support Cashiers and Team leaders to complete the daily duties.
  • Report any issues to the line manager.
  • Buying and selling foreign currencies.
  • Check and maintain the functionality of all equipment special CCTV and Alarms.
  • Make sure transactions are recorded and receipts are signed by customers.
  • Fill the branch payslip when required.
  • Open and close the branch safely, following our internal procedures.
  • Reconcile all staff cash receipts on a daily basis; follow the banking procedures in preparation for cash collection.
  • Use our internal system to contact the different departments in order to solve customer’s issues quickly.
  • Be responsible to securely store cash in the safe.
  • Support Team leaders on daily basis (promoting the Branch and handling any issues).
  • When required prepare and dispatch reports to Cash Controller, MLRO or any other.
  • Be responsible for the branch keys, remote controls for shutters and safe.
  • Provide supportive training to cashiers and new starters if required.
  • Cover Team Leaders when applicable and take control.
  • Take control of the branch when the team leader is not there.
  • Other ad hoc duties as directed by your line manager, country manager or the other UK senior manager

Essential Work Skills:

  • Experience in processing orders for the African corridor;
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and 2nd language;
  • Have at least 1-year of senior cashier experience of money transfer industry;
  • Have excellent communication skill both written and verbal;
  • Be able to work independently as well as part of a team;
  • Work calmly under pressure;
  • Being attentive and patient;
  • Good in numeracy and computer Skills;
  • Flexible;
  • Have good time management skill;
  • Knowledge of the product.
