Agent Accounts Controller - London

Management of Agent credit process in an effective & timely manner to ensure agents are able to successfully operate whilst managing Small World’s Agent credit risk.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Regularly check company bank accounts to identify agent deposits and allocate the credit to the correct repcode. Where necessary, correct allocations made to incorrect repcodes. 
  • Following receipt, from the agent, of confirmation of PDQ payments being made, update the PDQ spreadsheet of deposit received and credit the agent’s account accordingly.
  • Identify unusual payments made by agents through cheque and cash deposit and take necessary action (e.g. hold until clearance confirmed)
  • Respond in a timely manner to agent emails/skype/calls and following up with Saldos as necessary.
  • Debt management - follow up with agents on a daily basis to chase outstanding payments, agreeing on repayment plans to recover the debt where possible. Escalate continued outstanding debts as necessary, using formal processes (issuing letters etc.) where required prior to initiating court proceedings.
  • Management of paying in books, including ordering replacements, allocating books to repcodes and management of the tracking process 
  • Management of PDQ machines, including ordering replacements/additional machines, configuring of machines and chasing returns of replaced machines/from closed agents.
  • Identify High volume agents that would benefit from a G4S service - offer the service and manage the set up process accordingly.
  • Management of the credit limit to be applied and/or removed in order to keep the agent´s daily allowance aligned with SW risk policy.
  • On a monthly basis, analyse individual agent performance and adjust credit limits accordingly.

Skills and Experience Required: 

  • Minimum education to A Level with an A or B in Mathematics. 
  • Strong numerical skills and well-versed with accounting practices. 
  • Confident using Microsoft Excel at an intermediate/ strong level. 
  • Ability to work well under pressure and use your own initiative. 
  • Good organisation skills with a willingness to dive into the complex details of a transaction or process.
  • Possess excellent communication skills; both written and verbal.
