The crypto market is showing a sharper divide between aging networks and newer projects built around real financial use. Cardano and Binance Coin continue to lose strength, while fresh interest is forming around platforms that offer practical utility.
Cardano’s fall to about $0.66 has renewed doubts about its momentum. The token dropped nearly 8% in a week and more than 15% in the wider decline. Many traders are unsure it can compete with faster and more flexible ecosystems.
Work on the Midnight sidechain and RealFi is active, yet DeFi participation remains low. Charles Hoskinson has pointed to governance and coordination issues instead of technical problems. Whale activity has added to the pressure, with large holders both selling and moving tokens off exchanges.
Fintech tokens advance
Binance Coin is facing its own challenges. The token slid from roughly $1,094 to about $999 as regulatory scrutiny intensified. Confidence remains mixed even after CZ’s investment in the ASTER DEX. Digitap has emerged as a rare bright spot. Its live app on major mobile stores presents it as a global “omni bank” with instant transfers and a simple Web2/Web3 interface. The project offers a 124% staking yield and a profit-burning model.
Its presale has raised nearly $900,000, and about 60 million tokens are already sold. Partnerships aimed at improving cross-border payments place Digitap firmly in the $600-billion remittance sector.
Zero Knowledge Proof is also gaining attention. Its presale uses a proportional daily auction with no bonuses or insider deals. The gradual release of its supply, supported by strong funding and infrastructure, encourages steadier growth. Utility-focused projects are now shaping the next phase of the market as older coins struggle to regain traction.
